Project Management

I have worked extensively as a Project/Production manager on many Web Development, Multimedia and Desktop Publishing projects.

I have been an integral part of sales, marketing and production teams as a technical consultant, web site integrator, graphics designer and multimedia content developer.

I have written proposals, developed timelines, produced Scope of Work documents, assigned and managed resources, and worked closely with customers to help in the development of marketing, training, and advertising products.

I have strong leadership, communication and organizational skills and work very well both as a team leader or member of a planning, development or production team.

T

HTML

I have extensive knowledge of HTML constructs and programming syntax. I understand cross-platform and competitive browser issues. I know how to implement media objects including audio, video, JavaScript, ShockWave, Java, CGI and plug-ins.

JavaScript

I have been working with JavaScript for about 1.5 years. I have developed several complex interactions that grab cookie data, user name and login, testing and reporting data and forms. I have also used JavaScript to improve the functionality of web sites and controlling user interaction with windows, frames and forms.

Java & JSP

Although I am not a Java programmer, I have had the opportunity to create several Java applets and include them in web based training sites. JSP, or Java Server Pages is the newest arrival in Server Side scripting language. Implemented by Sun Microsystems and adopted by many best-of-breed applications. I am currently learning JSP and am planning to attend training courses offered by Oracle and Sun in 2000.

Perl and CGI

I have had the opportunity to re-purpose and implement both PERL and CGI scripts.

Active Server Pages (ASP)

ASP is a language developed by MicroSoft to work directly with certain features of their IIS server software. ASP allows for simple interaction with such things as database interfaces, forms content gathering, dynamic page creation etc. I consider myself knowledgable in the general use of ASP.

Multimedia Authoring and Content Development

I have been developing Multimedia content for the last 8 years, Besides the major projects that I have listed on this site, I have consulted on many interactive projects, tradeshow media, training videos,interactive games, 3D modeling and animation, 2D graphics, video, audio, sound effects and much more. I have authored in all of the major applications including; Director, Authorware, Toolbook, Quest, and an obscure C++ based objected oriented product called TIE. I have completly merged these skills into web site and intranet development.

Graphics

My technical skills in grasphics development are also very extensive. I developed projects in 3D modeling and animation packages including; 3D Studio Max and Strata Studio Pro. I consider myself and expert (not just a user) in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator which I have been using for nearly 9 years.

Desktop Publishing

My original training was in desktop publishing and graphic design, I have honed my skills on such packages as Pagemaker, QuarkXPress, and Xerox Ventura Publisher. I developed training for, and taught classes on, FrameMaker on both Unix and Macintosh platforms
